As i looked for the picture i wanted in the program, it said 'files of type: CR2, CRW, TIF,TIFF' Does that have anything to do with it because all my pics are JPEG or whatever. Am i suppose to upload them a different way? Pleaase help.

Best Answer: Since the program only accepts images such as CR2 and TIF, you can convert your current jpeg files to a TIF using a photo editing program such as Photoshop Elements or even a free program such is Irfanview. You open the jpeg and then SAVE AS a TIF. 'Drop images here' simply means drag an appropritate file with your mouse and drop it on the picture style window, though your method of opening a file is fine too. You can not convert a JPEG into a RAW file (eg. CR2), but you can shoot RAW. Check your camera image recording settings which give you an option to shoot RAW only, or RAW+JPEG. If you set your camera to the the later, both a JPEG and RAW files for the same shot will be transferred to your computer when you download them from the memory card.

As an aside, some photographers shoot RAW; others do not. I prefer not to because I don't like the extra editing steps. The JPEG quality from cameras like the T2i is excellent and meets my needs. If I have a very special occasion, particularly when light is low, I'll shoot RAW and only work on the RAW files if the JPEGs are hopeless.;) You can edit RAW files in the Digital Photo Professional program that came with your REBEL. Or, if you like processing RAW files, there are other programs available for a cost. Tell us some more. Upload in Progress.
